Joshua Tree National Forest
So making our way from the south of the park to the top we find many interesting plants to photograph.
Here is one, the Fouquieria splendens / Ocotillo (which is not an actual cactus believe it or not). They usually will have red blooms but we caught them out of season.
PSPHOTO; Everything is thorny! Anything you see in the desert seems to have some kind of natural protection. Defintely watch your step for pokey things or critters such as scorpions or tarantulas when out this way. I think the only thing I saw that wasn’t super dangerous/ spiky was a lizard.
